Mohammed Sheikh
Head Chair
Heyo! Meet Mohammed, the accidental MUN enthusiast since 2014. His MUN journey has a uniquely genuine origin story - a "bitten-by-a-radioactive-delegate" scenario, or at least that's how he enjoys picturing it. Since then, it's been one adventure after another in the realm of geopolitics. He has attended ∞+ conferences, including one of his first UK conferences being, LSE Youthmun as a delegate! Currently, he juggles being a final year BSc Economics, Finance, and Management student while combating a surprisingly strong gaming addiction. His friends describe his relationship with Economics as "Mario with a degree" - jumping through economic hoops, discovering the cheat-code to understand taxes, and collecting coins for an extra life. In the future, he aspires to enter the consultancy field, where he can spend his days problem-solving in the corporate world, leaving what he'd hope is a lasting impact!
Aadya Jolly
Vice Chair
Aadya is a first year BA Social Anthropology student at the LSE from Hyderabad, India. Ever since attending her first conference at the age of 10, Aadya has been keen to keep evolving her knowledge of international affairs and institutions. She has chaired prestigious conferences including Harvard MUN India and Harvard MUN China. She believes MUNs give students incomparable exposure, and is beyond excited to be attending LSE MUN HS this year. She loves meeting new people, and can talk about any topic under the sun and moon, so be sure to catch her at the conference!
Ted Yip
Vice Chair
Ted is a first year BSc Politics and International Relations student at University College London (UCL). He was born and raised in Hong Kong, but is now living in London, and his interest in politics spans from conceptualising social movements to analysing global conflicts. Although he didn't have the chance to do MUN in high school, his passion for MUN never faded away. He has participated in multiple university-level conferences, and is currently serving as the First Year Representative at UCL United Nations Association. He is really excited to be your chair in DISEC and looks forward to meeting all of you in the committee! Outside of MUN, you might find him either playing the piano (which he has been playing for more than 15 years) or studying in the UCL Student Centre until 1am (thankfully it's open 24/7).
Arturo Saville
Assistant Chair
Arturo is a current Scholar student at Harrow School with a passion for global politics; love for culture, computer science and the arts. He is currently a leading member in Harrow School’s MUN society, and is captain of Debating there.
